The Zurich-based LegalTech startup Lawise.ai has launched «Jurilo», an AI-based legal chatbot for businesses. After two years of development, Jurilo now answers legal questions from employment and contract law simply and understandably for non-lawyers. First customers and partners have already been acquired.
The legal bot from Lawise.ai analyzes user queries in everyday language and delivers fast and understandable answers based on current Swiss law. The tool currently covers employment and contract law and is aimed at SMEs, fiduciaries, and HR managers. Additional legal areas will follow by the end of the year, particularly tax and social security law.
Since the market launch a few weeks ago, Lawise.ai already counts over 100 business customers. Additionally, several distribution partnerships have been established, including with HR associations and accounting software providers.
The development of Jurilo was carried out in close collaboration with three major law firms, including Streiff von Kaenel, who continuously test and legally verify the system. The goal is to provide a practical, cost-effective solution for companies without their own legal department.
The fully self-funded startup, which currently still operates under the umbrella of the non-profit association Hightech Connect, plans to expand its cooperations with associations and large corporations as well as expand into European markets in the next step. A product for private individuals is also already in development.
