The best news first: Lawise.ai meets all requirements of the EU AI Act, which comes into force in August 2025.
We are currently preparing all evidence and documentation to also fully comply with the significantly stricter registration requirement under the EU AI Act from August 2026. Through our weekly quality control of all Jurilo responses by four specialized lawyers (for Code of Obligations, employment law, and soon tax law as well), we are confident that we already today meet the requirements.
This could make us the first and so far only LegalTech startup in Switzerland that can demonstrate this compliance so clearly.
At Lawise, we are committed to the responsible development and application of Artificial Intelligence. Our goal is to create trustworthy AI solutions that are in line with the fundamental principles of the EU AI Regulation. We pursue a risk-based approach and rely on clear governance and transparency measures to meet regulatory requirements and strengthen the trust of our users.
Model Transparency & Disclosure
Transparency is a central element of trustworthy AI. We disclose how our systems work – in a comprehensible and understandable way for our users.
Disclosure of Model Providers and Capabilities
We clearly state which AI models our services are based on. Information about the origin and functionality of these models can be found by our users in our technical documentation. This enables informed use of our services.
Documentation on Purpose, Limitations and Risks
Our platform is accompanied by comprehensive documentation that describes the intended use, known limitations, and potential risks of our AI services. This promotes responsible and targeted use of the technology.
Incident and Risk Management
We have internal processes in place to monitor our AI systems in order to identify and assess significant incidents or risks at an early stage. When necessary, we communicate with the relevant authorities and stakeholders – always in accordance with our regulatory obligations.
Traceability & Explainability of Results
Our systems are designed to deliver traceable results – as far as technically possible. Users receive information on what basis a particular result was generated. This increases transparency and promotes trust in our services.
Security & Data Protection
The protection of your data is our top priority. Our security architecture ensures that your information is treated confidentially and our systems are reliably protected.
Data Protection and Governance
We comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as other relevant data protection laws. In our privacy policy, we transparently explain what data we collect and how we use it. Users can manage their cookie settings at any time or request the deletion of their account and personal data at contact@lawise.ai.
Technical Infrastructure & Security
Our services are based on the infrastructure of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), which holds a SOC 2 Type II certificate. This internationally recognized audit procedure demonstrates that our systems meet high standards regarding security, availability, and confidentiality. The certification includes a comprehensive review of the relevant control systems over an extended period – thus providing significantly more assurance than a one-time snapshot.
